The stock of the Company is privately held.  They began selling their products in 1988, and established international operations in 1989.  The company has agents and distributors in more than 60 countries and serves customers in nearly 200 countries.  More than a third of Virtual Industries sales come from outside the United States.

The MultiPrep™ System enables precise semiautomatic sample preparation of a wide range of materials for microscopic (optical, SEM, FIB, TEM, AFM, etc.) evaluation. 

Capabilities include parallel polishing, angle polishing, site-specific polishing or any combination thereof. It provides reproducible results by eliminating inconsistencies between users, regardless of their skill. 

Dual micrometers (pitch and roll) allow precise sample tilt adjustments relative to the abrasive plane. A rigid Z-indexing spindle maintains the predefined geometric orientation throughout the grinding/polishing process. Digital indicators enable quantifiable material removal, which can be monitored real-time, or preset for unattended operation. Variable speed rotation and oscillation maximize use of the entire grinding/polishing disc and minimize artifacts. Adjustable load control expands its capability to handle a range of small (delicate) to large samples.

Pocketless tray

This extremely versatile “pocketless” tray securely holds fragile devices including bare die during shipping, handling and processing.
R Trays are ideal for:
Extremely fragile or thin devices
Handling bare die
No contact with edges or top surface of device
Handling device sizes (X,Y) ranging from 250 micron to 75mm
High-volume automated device Pick & Place applications
Manual unloading using Vacuum Pens
For devices smaller than 250 micron the NDT Tray should be used. For devices larger than 75mm, the Wafer/Large Format VR Plates should be used.

F40 Series

The F40 product family is for applications that require a spot size as small as 1 micron. For most microscopes the F40 simply attaches to the Cmount adapter, which is the industry standard for video camera mounting.

The F40 comes complete with an integrated color video camera that allows exact monitoring of the film thickness measurement spot. Thickness and index can be measured in less than a second. Like all of our tabletop film thickness measurement instruments, the F40 connects to the USB port of your Windows® computer and sets up in minutes.

Gel-Box (AD Series)

Gel-Pak’s Gel-Box (AD Series) is the company’s pioneer product offering and the original sticky box developed back in 1980. It is comprised of a plastic hinged box with our proprietary Gel coating applied directly to the bottom. These versatile “pocketless” carriers immobilize devices during shipping, handling and processing. If you prefer a version where the Gel coated surface can be removed from the hinged box, please refer to the Gel-Tray® (BD Series) and Gel-Slide (CD Series) products.
The Gel-Box (AD Series) is intended for manual applications in which devices are loaded using a vacuum pen, tweezers or fingers. Unloading should only be performed using tweezers or fingers. For device unloading applications that require use of a manual vacuum pick-up tool or automated Pick & Place equipment, please refer to the Vacuum Release™ (VR) products.
